Hello everyone!

I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself and give you an idea as to
how I have come to be the proud proprietor of Metropolitan Professional Pet
Services.

As a young child, I always had a passion for animals. My family pets were more
precious to me than any toy I had. My first pet was a blue parakeet, named
Petey. He was a gift for my birthday.

Growing up I always told people, “when I grow up, I want to be a Veterinarian!”.
As soon as a I could, I started work in a Vet Clinic as a kennel technician. I loved
every minute of it. I realized though, that I did not have the stomach to do
surgeries on the animals. I meandered through many other animal related fields
of employment such as pet shops, I worked as a dog groomer, back into the
hospitals as vet technician, etc. In 2001, I found an opportunity in the animal law
enforcement field. I became an Emergency Service Technician working Animal
Control calls after normal business hours. I quickly moved into an officers
position where I remain to this day. During my time as an EST, I started walking
dogs during the day for extra money. I worked for several established
businesses and realized that I disliked not providing the services my way... I
wanted to establish a relationships with the clients, but found it difficult to do so
when they were not my clients... After months of frustration and finally after a year
or so... I was ready to give it up. After resigning from the last company I worked
for, I gave two weeks notice to the clients I walked for and to my surprise I found
that they were really sorry to hear that I was leaving and they were anxious about
who would be coming in to walk their pets after me... Several people asked me
to walk their dogs privately and I quickly realized how much they had come to
depend on me, How could I let them down? Really the decision was quite
simple... I established the business and here we are...

forward to MANY more years to come.
